Almost everyone has had a say in this matter, except for some who have remained silent
The Padmavati controversies is grown leaps and bounds day by day. What started off started off with minor violence by destroying film sets, have now gone on to death threats being sent out for Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone. The filmmaker was blamed by fringe groups for having distorted facts of Rajput history through his incorrect portrayal of Rani Padmini (Deepika), and her relationship with Alauddin Khalji (Ranveer Sing). Members of various groups took it upon themselves to make sure the film is not released and the matter has now gotten from bad to worse.
The film was recently also shown to some persons from the media, which angered the CBFC board, who deemed it wrong to have showcased the film without first getting an approval. In order to sort out the mess, Viacom and Sanjay Leela Bhansali announced yesterday that the film will be postponed from its December 1st release date.
The industry has stood in unison, supporting the filmmaker and his film, but there are some, who have chosen to remain silent, and we wonder why!
Priyanka Chopra- The talented actress did two period films with Bhansali, but hasn’t spoken up about the controversy until now.
Amitabh Bachchan- Big B is usually known to have an opinion on issues that matter, but has been silent this time. Why, we wonder?
Additionally, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rani Mukherji have also remained mum on the whole controversy, inspite of working with the filmmaker on successful films in the past.
