6 Outrageous Things Honeypreet Insan Said While Claiming Innocence Before Being Arrested

By the time Honeypreet Insan, the adopted daughter of rape tainted Dera Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim was nabbed by the Punjab police today, she had become a household name.

In an interview she gave to IndiaToday, Honeypreet came spoke about her alleged relations with her adopted father Ram Raheem, his conviction in the rape case, reasons behind her absconding and the fate of Dera as who would be the heir etc.

Here are 10 things, Honeypreet Insan said in her latest interview before being nabbed by the police.

Honeypreet accused media of malign the father-daughter relationship by continuously running stories about her possible sexual relationship with her adopted father. Honeypreet’s ex husband has been speaking to media for the last one month and accusing Honeypreet of having an affair with Ram Raheem.

“I do not understand how can someone question the holy relationship between a father and daughter? My main concern was the way the media projected me. How can they malign a father and daughter's relationship? Can a father not keep his hands on his daughter? Can a daughter not love her father?”

Honeypreet said her father Gurmeet Ram Raheem is innocent and she will fight the battle to prove him innocent. Me and my father are innocent and the truth will come out soon. My relationship with my father is pure. Please don't trust these baseless allegations. My father and I have full faith in justice. I am sure that we will definitely get justice.

Honeypreet has been accused of plotting the riots right after her father’s conviction on August 28 in which 31 people died.

“I want to ask, how can a girl go alone without appropriate permission in the middle of the force? Later, they all said that I was wrong. I just need to say that all the evidence is there for the world to see. They accuse me of being involved in riots, but do they have any evidence against me? I am innocent. Have you seen me anywhere inciting riots? I was not present there at all.”

Honeypreet disappeared right after Dera Chief verdict and various stories of her fleeing to Nepal surfaced within this one month. But where was she? “ I went into depression. The girl who talked about patriotism with her father went to jail, then she was accused of treason. I did not know the legal process.

After my father's departure, I became helpless. I did what people guided me to do. I will now go to the Punjab and Haryana High Court. But it will take some time to handle my present mental state.”

She says did police any? “Have they found any skeletons in the Dera premises? There have been only talks so far and nothing has been proved. My papa is not guilty and in future he will be proven innocent.”

Dera Chief has been accused of sexually exploiting Sadhvis and even young girls at Dera. Honeypreet came clear on this as well. “On the basis of one letter, how can anyone be held guilty? My father is innocent and his innocence will be proved. No women were molested at the Dera. They have not considered the opinion of other women from Dera and the women who accused him did not come forward.” She also said that her father will remain the Dera head and there is no need of heir as of now.

“I and my father are innocent and the truth will come out soon. My relationship with my father is pure. Please don't trust these baseless allegations,” said Honeypreet.
