A 7-year-old was found dead with his throat slit in the washroom of a private school in Gurugram.
The body of a 7-year-old boy found inside the washroom of the Ryan International School at Bhondsi, Gurugram.
The boy, identified as Pradyuman Thakur, was found with his throat slit. A knife was also found next to Pradyuman's body. The body was reportedly found by another student who went to use the washroom.
Pradyuman who came to school around 8.15 am was immediately rushed to Artemis Hospita, where he was declared dead. His parents were called around 8.45 am and asked to rush to hospital.
"It is a clear case of murder, don't know what happened but I am sure its murder," Pradyuman's father, Varun Thakur said.
The Gurugram police reached the school soon after being informed about the crime. The police are looking at the CCTV footage of the area.
"We informed the police and parents immediately. The police has not disclosed anything to us," said the teacher-in-charge.
"I do not see any rivalry here. He was too young. And no outsider is allowed to use the washrooms. The washrooms are regularly checked," she added.
In 2016, another such incident was reported from Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj.
Six-year-old Devansh Kakrora died after he allegedly fell into a water tank. Minutes before his death, Kakrora was spotted playing on school ground. Vasant Kunj North police had registered a case of negligence causing death against the school, and the principal and four other staff members were arrested.
