Asus ZenFone 4V tipped to launch on September 21 in Europe

The Asus ZenFone 4V may not come to India.

Asus has a lot going on its plate right now. The company is gearing up to launch as many as six smartphones in the coming months. Reports recently suggested that the six smartphones to launch are Zenfone 4 Max, the Zenfone 4 Pro, the Zenfone 4 Selfie and three different variants of the Zenfone 4 flagship. Out of the three Zenfone 4 variants, one was spotted under the name Asus Zenfone 4V. The smartphone is said to a Verizon exclusive Zenfone variant. Now, a new leak suggests that the Zenfone 4V might launch on September 21.

First spotted by Phonearena, the Asus Zenfone 4V smartphone is said to launch on September 21 in Europe and that the company has already sent out media invites for the same. The invite comes with a tagline, “Take a walk on the wide side”, which according to report, is a hint at some wide-angle camera feature. Apart from this not much is know about the upcoming phone.

Additionally, in India, Asus is gearing up to launch the Zenfone AR and the Zenfone 3 Zoom smartphones in August. Asus Zenfone AR is expected to retail at a price of Rs 53,000 approximately. It will include features like 5.7-inch WHD display and will be powered by the dated Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC paired with either 8GB or 6GB of RAM. There will also be 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB with the option to further boost the storage up to 2TB via microSD card.

On the other hand, the Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom might retail at a price of Rs 21,300 approximately. To recap on the specifications, it will feature a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display. Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor. The smartphone comes in two variants of 3GB RAM and 4GB with storage options of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.

The smartphone will sport a pair of 12-megapixel rear cameras with Sony IMX362 sensors, 1.4-micron pixels, f/1.7 aperture, three-axis and four-axis support, and three auto-focus modes. Up front, the smartphone houses a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5P Largan lens for selfies and video calling. The smartphone will come with a massive 5,000mAh battery. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
