Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 will be available for pre-order for the first time today at 12PM. The ZenFone Max Pro M1 is the first smartphone launched as part of a new partnership with Flipkart and e-commerce platform notes that pre-ordering will only be available on prepaid orders. The smartphone is widely seen as Asus’ best smartphone yet to compete against the onslaught of Chinese rivals.
As part of the launch offer, Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 is available with no-cost EMI starting at Rs 917 per month. Vodafone mobile subscribers get offers up to Rs 3,200 for free with the smartphone while exchange customers get extra Rs 1,000 off over regular exchange value. Flipkart is also offering complete mobile protection at a special introductory price of Rs 49. The ZenFone Max Pro M1 buyers can also purchase back covers and tempered glass at discounted rate during the sale.
The ZenFone Max Pro M1 is the first device from Asus being launched as a new initiative where the smartphone will be sold exclusively on Flipkart and will offer specifications worthy of a mid-range flagship. It features a modern design language with thin bezels surrounding the display, metal unibody casing and a vertically-stacked dual-camera setup at the rear.
At the front, it sports a 5.99-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and support for taller 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC also found under the hood of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, one of the best-selling smartphones in the sub-Rs 15,000 price segment. It comes in two storage variants – the base model offering 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and a higher model offering 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It also supports expandable storage up to 2TB via dedicated SD card slot.
On the camera front, Asus has outfitted the ZenFone Max Pro M1 with a combination of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel dual camera module. The primary camera supports phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash. There is also an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash.
The ZenFone Max Pro M1 comes with connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and 4G LTE. It runs near-stock Android 8.1 Oreo making it the first Asus smartphone to ditch its own Zen UI. The smartphone is backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery and will be available in black and grey color. The base model with 3GB RAM is priced at Rs 10,999 while the 4GB RAM variant will set you back by Rs 12,999.
