Attack on Rahul's car: Cong protests by showering flowers on BJP office

Hundreds of Youth Congress workers gathered outside the BJP office in Ghatkopar and showered flowers on the office.

In a 'Gandhigiri' style of protest against Friday's attack on Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi in Gujarat, Youth Congress workers in the city on Saturday showered flowers on the BJP office at suburban Ghatkopar in Mumbai.

Hundreds of Youth Congress workers gathered outside the BJP office in Ghatkopar and showered flowers on the office and also on some office-bearers of the saffron party.

"We want to shame the BJP and its people and hence, we decided to do through 'Gandhigiri'. We showered flowers on the BJP people, who have shown their true colours by lowering the level of politics and attacking on our party leader in such a way," Suraj Singh Thakur, former office-bearer of National Students Union of India (NSUI), who led the protest, said.

"We not only showered flowers on them, but also wished them 'get well soon'. We hope the BJP would recover from their mental sickness," Thakur added.

Gone are the days of Gandhigiri which has no relevancy in the present scenario. Whatever congress do, it is not going to find favour with the people. The people have made up their mind to definitely defeat this party now. Moreover, it seems to be a cheap tactic since no one has received even a scratch with the big stone alleged to have been thrown.
