The IndianÂ benchmark indices are trading on a positive note in this Thursday morning sessionÂ with the Nifty50 up 10Â points, trading at 10,610 while the SensexÂ gainedÂ 37 points at 35,237.
Nifty IT is the outperforming sector, up 1 percent led by Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Mindtree, Tata Elxsi, TCS, Infosys and HCL Tech.
Selective media stocks are also buzzing led by Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Zee Media and DEN Networks.
From the oil & gas space, ONGC added 1 percent while Reliance Industries gained half a percent.
From the BSE midcap space, the top gainers are Indian Hotels followed by GMR Infra and Dewan Housing Finance while the top losers are Ajanta Pharma, GE T&D and Castrol India.
From the BSE smallcap space, the top gainers are Kesoram Industries, Andrew Yule & Company, Emkay Global Financial Services and Taj GVK.
The top losers includedÂ Huhtamaki PPL, Ashapura Intimates and Ruby Mills.
The top gainers fromÂ NSE include Tech Mahindra, Zee Entertainment, ONGC, TCS and HCL Tech.
