DMK leader M K Stalin and other party leaders were detained after they staged a protest outside the Tamil Nadu assembly.

Stalin along with 86 other party leaders was evicted from the House after a pandemonium broke out inside the assembly on Wednesday morning when he demanded a debate on the alleged cash-for-vote scam.

Opposition DMK members tried to raise the issue of alleged horse trading of AIADMK MLAs ahead of the February 18 trust vote sought by Chief Minister K Palaniswami.

"I tried to raise the cash issue in assembly, but speaker didn't allow. This TN govt headed by Edappadi K Palaniswami should be dissolved," Stalin said.

Following this, 'MLAsForSale' placards were raised in the Tamil Nadu Assembly.

The time has come when the people of country should give a befitting reply to these so called leaders who are exploiting each and every move in the name of farmers and weaker sections of society in order to pucca their vote bank. In fact they should be defeated in coming assembly elections in different states to start with.
