CUTTACK: First dengue death of the season was reported in the state on Wednesday. A patient undergoing treatment in the ICU of SCB medical college and hospital succumbed to the disease on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Som Prakash Mishra (35), a native of Chappra, Bihar. Mishra was working in Paradip for the last few years. He was admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition on Monday. He was suffering from high fever and nausea.
"People should immediately clean any kind of stagnant water in their house and sorroundings. Besides, they should immediately visit a doctor if they suffer from high fever and flu like symptoms," said Mohanty.
