Non-communicable diseases are responsible for more deaths India today when compared to communicable diseases.
This according to a 'India: Health of the nation's states', this is the first state-level disease burden and risk factors estimate by the Indian Council for Medical Research, The Public Health Foundation of India and the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation. That's not all, the survey further reveals that child & maternal malnutrition are responsible for the 15 percent of the total disease burden. CNBC-TV18's Archana Shukla brought us these details.
