Here's what the Delhi govt is doing to tackle air pollution

The NCR's pollution level after Diwali was twice what it was last year as people burst firecrackers outside of the Supreme Court's stipulated time frame

Delhi's degrading air quality has been making headlines for quite some time now. The National Capital Region's (NCR)Â pollution level after Diwali has nearly doubled in comparison to last year as people burst firecrackers outside of the Supreme Court's stipulated time frame of 8 pm to 10 pm.

The overall Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 426 on November 9, which puts it in the 'severe' category, according to data by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
