NEW DELHI: Days after Kashmiri students in Rajasthan's Mewar University were beaten up, state chief minister Vasundhara Raje on Friday said her government has taken action against the accused.
Earlier in the day, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh condemned the attack and appealed to all state governments to ensure the safety of Kashmiris living in different parts of the country.
"I appeal to everyone to ensure the safety of Kashmiri students living in other parts of the country. Kashmiris are a part of our family," he tweeted, adding that action should be taken by the states against those who target them.
Rajnath said he has asked the home ministry officials to circulate an advisory in this regard.
