Bengaluru man found injured on highway

A 39-year-old man from Bengaluru, accused in a murder case, was found lying with stab injuries on the Bengaluru-Jalasuru State highway near Devalapura handpost, Nagamangala taluk of the district on Tuesday.

M. Lokesh was rushed to a hospital in Bengaluru, the Nagamangala Rural police said.

He is a resident of Hosakere Halli in Bengaluru. He is also an accused in road-robberies, the police said.

According to the police, Lokesh had come to Chunchanahalli of Nagamangala with his friends, Renukumara and Vijikumara, on Monday. On Tuesday, a quarrel broke out among them on sharing the loot from a robbery. In the melee, they tried to murder Lokesh, the police added.

However, he escaped and reached the highway. Passerby alerted the police and shifted him to the hospital.

Superintendent of Police G. Radhika and others officials visited the spot.
