As of 10:00 am, MNF is leading in 24 seats and Congress is ahead in 6 seats. Others including independent candidates are in lead in 6 seats.

As of 9:30 am, MNF was leading in 16 seats while Congress and others were in lead in 5 seats each.

As of 9:00 am, the MNF is leading in four seats and the Congress in one.

The state headed for polling in a single phase on November 28. The tenure of this Assembly will end on December 15, 2018. A political party needs at least 21 seats to secure a simple majority in the 40-member Legislative Assembly.

The voter turnout in Mizoram was recorded at around 80 percent, against what was 83.41 percent in 2013.

In 2013, Congress had managed to win 34 out of the 40 seats. The MNF came a distant second with five seats. MPC had won one seat.
