Varun Dhawan filed a police complaint against a woman stalker on social media who had threatened to commit suicide if the actor doesn't meet her.
The stalker is reportedly in her early twenties, a student of a prominent college and have sent multiple threats to Varun on social media. Senior police inspector of Santacruz police station in Mumbai confirmed that Varun Dhawan's complaint has been registered and that the police is taking steps to prevent the fan from committing suicide. The actor filed a complaint with the Santacruz police urging immediate action against the woman who has been stalking him on social media and "making his life difficult".
His complaint to the police also claimed that Varun was being bombarded by messages from a female fan through WhatsApp due to which Varun blocked her number. In the written complaint, Varun mentioned that a few days later, he even got a phone call from an unidentified number who threatened him saying that the woman would commit suicide if he did not respond to her messages on WhatsApp. Varun has also sent a complaint to the cyber police station at Bandra Kurla Complex. A senior Santacruz officer said, “We have received a complaint from Varun Dhawan and are in the process of finding out details about the person who had called him. The number has been switched off ever since the call was made.”
