‘Teach a lesson to those who speak of changing the Constitution’
Prakash Ambedkar, Republican Party of India leader and grandson of B.R. Ambedkar, has asked youth to teach a lesson to those who speak of changing the Constitution.
Speaking at a Constitution protection committee meeting organised by Prakash Ambedkar Brigade in Chikkodi on Tuesday, he alleged that the BJP-RSS leadership is trying to subvert the principles of equality and fraternity enshrined in the Constitution. “That is why we should make every effort to remove them from power,” he said. He asked the youth, however, not to get involved in the “political game” played by the BJP and Congress as both were “not committed to the spirit of the Constitution.”
He further alleged that Congress and BJP were equally opposed to free thought. Neither party is trying to solve the murders of thinkers like Dhabolkar, Pansare, Kalburgi and Gauri Lankesh, he felt.
Mohan Raj, Mohammad Naikwadi, Ashok Bhandarkar, Sakharao Lokhare and others were present.
