A seven-year-old boy was brutally murdered with his throat slit inside a prominent school in Bhondsi here on Friday morning.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Simardeep Singh told The Hindu that the boy was found lying in a pool of blood just outside the washroom a minutes after he reached the school.
The boy's father who works as a quality manager in Orient Craft, said that ten minutes after he dropped his son at Ryan International School around 8 am he got a call from the school asking him to reach hospital. "The school authorities told me that the boy was profusely bleeding and they were rushing him to hospital. The boy was declared dead by the time I reached hospital," he said.
The boy's uncle said that it was sheer negligence on the part of the school. "How can someone enter the school with a knife and commit cold-blooded murder?," asked the boy's uncle.
The relatives and friends of the family raised slogans against the school and the police administration inside the mortuary.
