Tubelight is gradually growing dimmer at the box office.

Over the years, Salman Khan films have emerged as critic-proof. But although Tubelight became Salman Khan's eleventh film to enter the Rs 100-crore club, it hasn't met with the same success as his last few Eid releases. According to early estimates, Tubelight earned Rs 4.25 crore on Friday.

Tubelight took six days to touch the Rs 100-crore mark. Salman's last release, Sultan, reached the milestone in half the time and entered the Rs 100-crore club in the opening weekend itself.

Tubelight, directed by Kabir Khan, is an official remake of the 2015 American war drama Little Boy. Just like the original, Tubelight has been panned by critics. However, Salman Khan fans are making sure that the film does not sink without a trace.

Tubelight also features Zhu Zhu, Matin Rey Tangu and late actor Om Puri in pivotal roles.
