Two Panigate cops die of heart attack

Vadodara: Two police constables of Panigate police station died due to heart attack within hours on reaching home after completing their duties on Saturday.

Ranjitsinh Rohit (52) and Dashratsinh Mangroliya (55) returned to their homes on Waghhodia Road and Dabhoi Road at 2 pm and 9 pm respectively. They suddenly fell unconscious and their family members rushed them to the SSG Hospital. However, doctors on duty declared them brought dead.

Doctors confirmed that both of them had died due to heart attack. The reason for their heart attack has not been known but the health of cops have always remained in question because of their long working hours and stressful environment.

Panigate police inspector J G Amin said that Rohit was transferred to Panigate police station around seven months ago while Mangroliya had been posted there years ago. Sources said that both of them suffered heart attack for first time.
