Performance of government schools a cause for concern
The Vellore district registered a pass percentage of 88.91 in SSLC exams this year improving its own performance last year, though it lagged behind in the rank list of pass percentage this year.

Though there was an improvement in the overall pass percentage the district ranked 31 in the State. Performance of government schools in the district was still a cause for the backward pull.
